The issue I have with some communities of today is that they set up a policy, or "filter", based on the current situation and stay true to it for long durations of time RS Gold. The reason why this is a problem is that the situation changes very quickly and community leaders do not adjust their policies according to the changing circumstances.
In Jagex's case, they have set up a user-friendly policy and stuck to it, and (as as a result of this policy) the number of feedback and users increases enormously. You can compare it to Jagex widely opening their eyes but not closing their eyes when a huge bundle of light is shone upon them. This results in them not being able to effectively review all feedback and comply with all wishes.
Jagex isn't the only one I see this problem with though. In fact, when community leaders choose co-leaders to help them guide the community, they're urged to develop policies so that confusion is not created. This is the way that policies usually start, but as you hopefully realize now, adhering to the policy or filter for a long period of time comes with many disadvantages. When activity is declining, sites continue to filter the same amount of 'light'. This can lead to a lot of idleness and the absence of content.
I'll illustrate this with a personal example. How I speak and conduct myself during Clan Chat depends on how many people are taking part. If there is only a handful players in CC I try to talk with them, have fun with them and be silly. I tend to be more serious when there are around 15-20 people in the chat. But, this does not mean I'm less friendly. This is because I'm responsible for moderated Clan Chats which are larger and more likely than normal to contain Trolls Buy RS 2007 Fire Cape. Dynamic filtering is there too.
