Why so many OSRS players Appear to be hostile to RS3 players
Or have I simply had worse than typical adventures as a OSRS gold player? I've even been invited by friends to stop playing RS3 and play OSRS. They almost seem offended when I tell them that I wish to stick with RS3. Literally been that way since the launching of OSRS. Simply since most OS players who played with hated said battle execution. Resentment from the change that is forced. That's understandable, however. It's been a very long time, but a lot of us lost multiple hundreds or thousands of hours of play time in addition to Runescape we grew upon. So for a few, the bitterness runs deep.
I think that it stems from RuneScape being among the most prosperous games in the world pre EOC / wilderness removal etc.. There is a good deal of people who had a great deal of hatred towards Jagex for ruining Runescape they adored, and nearly everyone stopped. When OSRS came around it was basically an admission that Jagex was wrong, along with the fact that oldschool has come to be so much larger than the primary Runescape match proves that theory to a lot of men and women. People today despise what Jagex did to RS3 and oldschool fuels which anger.
I see. Thank you for this summary. Jagex should have done things differently. Introduced EOC as an addition or something quite. It will make me wonder just how incredible Runescape will be if they never went the RS3 course and spent the last 10+ years incorporating more content rather, but the team / updates we get due to the manner OSRS is constructed makes me very glad it went this way.
The two games are worlds apart. Both are great though! MTX is at full swing (mostly cosmetics, however, so maybe not too bad). I really don't like the idea of cover to win, but at exactly the same time I realize that it has its benefits too. It keeps membership cost low and supplies greater income for their small business. I have also not had to pay for membership for several decades, due to buying bonds with runescape 2107 gold my own in-game riches! EOC has its defects, however I think it's pretty awesome overall. There are a lot. It is very interactive and that is what I like. It feels just like RNG is not a massive factor in order to perform well.
