The solo challenges in the earlier games have been replaced by Ultimate Team. However, they operate in the same way in that each player has to compete against the CPU. As with last year's version, a lot of players rating have changed making the team can be enjoyable and functions much like a management simulator, which requires players to discern vital information from the naive. While this may not be fun for some gamers, there's significant amount of strategy in it, and it's very deep and has a lot of customization also.
With EA's commitment to incorporating an unwritten story mode , with thin narratives into their sports games Madden's story mode could be the most awful of them all. In a sport that allows the player to make decisions which affect the storyline of the game, it's as if the same outcome could happen despite making wildly various options, adding to the list of things that do not have any logic in the game.

The voices of all actors were recorded, and the animations are horrible. There are also some areas of voice acting where the characters are clearly speaking, but they're not making any noise.

There are a few issues concerning the movements, for instance the frustrating lag in the kick meter and the sluggish kick meter, but there are some fun additions. Two new moves such as the side hurl and dead leg, really help to tackle defenses in a better manner than previous games and they increase the variety of options to make the defender fail. Because of these moves, the gameplay has become less monotonous and that is what the game desperately needs.
