India speedster S Sreesanth is all gear up for his return to action soon. He has faced a life ban by the BCCI over his alleged involvement in the Indian Premier League match-fixing case way back in 2013. At that time, he had tasted a fair share o success as well. Moreover, he had represented India in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is also.

However, his life ban has been reduced and it is finally going to complete in September and the pace bowler is eyeing a comeback. In a recent chat with WION, Sreesanth opened up about different topics which included how veteran player Suresh Raina deserves more appreciation, the idea of Rohit Sharma leading the team in the shortest format of the game and a few as well. Moreover, he also picked an India XI and included himself in it too.

“I firmly believe in one team for all formats. Suresh Raina is someone who deserves a lot more appreciation. And with all due respect to Virat, Rohit will captain in T20s and Kohli can take the captain’s band in all other formats,” said Sreesanth.

As far as the team is concerned, he named Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan as openers which followed by Virat Kohli. He gave the No.4 slot to veteran Suresh Raina and KL Rahul earned the number 5 slot in Sreesanth’s playing XI. KL Rahul has been in a great form for the past one year. Not only in the World Cup last year in England, but he also proved his worth in the later series as well.

Former India captain MS Dhoni too made it to the team. Along with him, he chose all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja in the side. Among bowlers, he chose himself and Jasprit Bumrah.

Sreesanth’s India XI: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Sreesanth.
