Make it more realistic to NBA basketball. It's much 2K MT too easy to become a starter also. More games earns a spot to you even if you average garbage splits/numbers. Outside the season, there ought to be more interactive occasions. The current endorsement events are all just cutscenes with no interaction. Becoming creative with these events would be far more interesting.
Dribbling animations must be tracked throughout the year to prevent animation glitches. We all have seen those NBA 2K players on park who abuse the behind the back, spamming left right left right till they have enough space. Since it will take time to master I'm not a person who believes this takes no ability, but it should not be at NBA 2K to begin with. The speed and glitchiness of these animations create playing defense impossible. Another cartoon issue is hopsteps. With speed and badges, you can almost fly when immiedately and hopstepping dunk. What's this in NBA 2K? Hopsteps are not utilized with the skill, particularly in basketball that was actual which characters use it. It's a completely broken mechanic.

It comes from a place of joy while I am complaining. I wish those issues can be repaired and love 2k. The largest difficulty is the dearth of incentive/competition for 2k. There's absolutely no one forcing them to make changes to enhance NBA 2K since it is basically the only popular basketball video game to Buy NBA 2K MT (apart from Live, but come on). Microtransactions are terrible and have taken too much priority within content and gameplay, and that needs to change.
Non shooting and the shot competition builds with but everything else seems fairly reasonable I disagree. Zero shooting builds using a 35-60 three dont move in almost enough to warrant a nerf. If someone has a large open look, knows how to time their slow bum 55 rated jumper, also makes a few of those shots I will live with it. I rarely run into that matter. Jump shot contest was composed in a meme thread and it is such a take to say there's nothing as a contest from the back or side. I assume it is because 95 percent of this sub has never played ball in real life, but if somebody is or right next to me in real life that you wager my shooter is being changed somehow.
