I believe this could be a great idea
They do not currently have any good method of exporting maps, therefore that I have not found a way to upload them. I think the only way RS gold I could do it at this stage is to take a lot of screenshots and stitch them together, but this could be incredibly dull and time consuming. Thats... something! Pretty impressive. One thing to look for is you can downlod VTT Enchanment Suite and tampermoney script or betterRoll20 and with those you can upload maps to seperate?folder" using links, aka imgur links or posting them on discord and then to roll20. Thats what I do.
I believe this could be a great idea and could draw in a number of audiences! I would certainly watch it (although I am a bit biased as RuneScape x DnD is something that I'm very enthusiastic about, of course ). I use the setting of RuneScape and the story of the quest series as a foundation for my universe, employing all of your regular DnD edition rules. Then I add in lots of things, creatures, and etc that I've generated statistics for. RuneScape makes for a perfect setting for a TTRPG in my opinion, it's such a thorough world to research with tons of lore that is amazing to include in your games! I have run games with 4 different groups of people, such as this one for the previous 3 years.
This group mentioned in the original post and one other I DM for is currently in progress, though this set will probably be finishing up in a different ~3 phases. My other group began about 10 months ago. For them I established their effort in RuneScape once again, but I am producing a more publicly shaped narrative built within the context of its world. It is loosely based on the concept of Soul Reaper in sport. Essentially, before the onset of the campaign, each of the characters died a premature death in some unforseen or unjust manner.
One of them had been framed for a crime and implemented, among these perished in a freak circus accident, etc.. Because of this, they were brought into Death's workplace and offered an opportunity at their life back if they help him out with releasing the spirits of dangerous and chaotic creatures that shouldn't be alive. They've taken down Dragith Nurn, the Giant Mole, the Chaos Elemental, and they're headed to the Barrows. Along the way they. The gamers absolutely loathe him (I take this as a indication that I am performing my job well). Because he hasn't yet revealed his name, they call him"the Slimy Stranger".
Sliske will act as the villain for the campaign, although I have figured out how the story will end. I may tie into the World Wakes' events like a huge finale, however, we will need to see how things play out.
