Despite the announcement of Microsoft's acquisition of the company, it's not clear if World of Warcraft will come to the Xbox. It is expected that the acquisition from Activision-Blizzard should be completed by 2023 but there's plenty which could change during this time. It's certainly logical for World of WOTLK Gold Warcraft to arrive on Xbox because it's still going great and would be accessible to the new market on the Xbox console, but it's too soon to determine if this is a likely thing. However, World of Warcraft will now be part of Microsoft which could offer new possibilities to the series in the future.

The 2014 game from Blizzard Hearthstone adds a brand-new honor system that is fully embracing that Horde and Alliance rivalry from World of Warcraft. The content of Hearthstone is derived from the mythology of Warcraft as well as World of Warcraft, with the first Hearthstone expansion that took players to Alliance capital Stormwind. The newest expansion called Fractured within Alterac Valley is due out on the 7th of December and pays homage to WoW's oldest Horde against Alliance battlegrounds.

The Alterac Valley battleground was released in WoW on June 5. 2005 in patch 1.5.0. The area is situated within the Alterac Mountains, which lie between the Horde outpost of Mor'Shan Rampart and the Alliance's Silverwing Outpost in Ashenvale. In Alterac the Horde is directed by the General Drek'Thar who is part of the Frostwolf clan, and the Alliance is controlled by the General Vanndar Stormpike of the Stormpike guard. Both Vanndar and Drek'Thar are new legendary cards with the Hearthstone expansion.

Shortly after the announcement of Hearthstone's brand new Mercenaries option, Blizzard recently added an entirely new Honor gameplay system. If players are next launching into Hearthstone, they'll have to choose between Horde or Alliance, just like when WoW players have to make that choice when creating their first character. Once the decision has been made and the decision is made, players will be given private rank if they are Alliance or Scout If they're Horde. Players can rise up the ranks through earning honor points which are awarded upon the conclusion of buy WOW WOTLK Classic Gold games in games in the Standard, Arena, and Duels game modes. If a player plays with someone from the opposite faction then they'll get double the honor points in the event that they win that game.
